YPU: Youth Prevention Universal
YPU is a school based program which utilizes the research based Too Good for Drugs curriculum. Services are provided in Angelina, Jasper, Shelby, San Augustine, Houston, Nacogdoches, Sabine, Newton and Shelby Counties. The YPU program is delivered in schools to reach students in the classroom and offer education for 1st-3rd graders. Presentations are delivered in 30 minute sessions and YPU staff will work with students a total of 10 weeks. In addition to school based programming staff offer tobacco, alcohol and other drug presentations and alternative activities. Summer months offer camps, churches, Boys and Girls Clubs and Daycares an opportunity to receive services.

HOW ADAC HELPS
The goal of our prevention programs is to provide education services to youth and adults on alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
Our treatment services are designed to help those individuals affected directly or indirectly by substance abuse and dependency.
All of our instructors have been certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services and follow all rules and guidelines.
