YPS: Youth Prevention Selective
YPS program provides service to school age youth in grades 3rd-5th in Angelina, Shelby, San Augustine, Tyler, Trinity, Polk, Jasper, Houston, Sabine, Newton and Shelby Counties. Staff utilizes the researched based Curriculum Based Support Group CBSG program, Kids Connection. Presentations are provided in classroom settings in participating schools over a 10 week cycle and are conducted in both fall and spring semesters. In addition to school based programming staff offer tobacco, alcohol and other drug presentations and alternative activities. Summer months offer camps, churches, Boys and Girls Clubs and Daycares an opportunity to receive services.
Staff are available for community functions including health fairs, school related events and youth driven activities.

HOW ADAC HELPS
The goal of our prevention programs is to provide education services to youth and adults on alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
Our treatment services are designed to help those individuals affected directly or indirectly by substance abuse and dependency.
All of our instructors have been certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services and follow all rules and guidelines.
